![]() ![]() The equipment was in good working order although the air con could have been a little colder. The gym is good, there are towels and cold water available. The shower was great and our room was cleaned to a good standard each day. Still, the room was large for NY and the bed very comfortable. I was also a little concerned about the state of the artificial grass, it wasn't the cleanest. ![]() We chose a Terrace Room, what we did not know was that each 'Terrace' room had a different sized terrace, we drew the short straw and got a small balcony that could just about fit 2 chairs. We managed to check into the room just after 4pm. We inquired about when our room would be ready and was told someone would be up to the lobby to let us know and give us our room key. You also got the lifts to your room from here. Here you could find the bar and restaurant and it was light and roomy. We returned to the Hotel lobby, this was small and dark, however, 2 floors up via a lift was the actual lobby. The hotel is in a great location, right in Times Square, there were plenty of bars and restaurants to go to, and the subway was 2 minutes away. No problem, the hotel took our bags and secured them, they gave us a ticket for each case so we could get them when needed. We arrived at the Hotel 2 hours before check in (which was at 4pm). We did have a cocktail and birthday dessert, which was delicious, after the play but cannot attest to the rest of the food in the restaurant. Omar also treated me to a lovely bottle of cabernet since it was my birthday and gave us some recommendations on where to grab a bite to eat. I was traveling with my 13-year-old son and they struck up a conversation. Special shout out to the Concierge, Omar, who made us feel very welcome. If I were returning to see a show I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. While this area in general is very hectic (Times Square) it is central to many things. Our room was nicely sized, clean and comfortable. From this floor you use your keycard to access the higher floors from a different set of elevators. The first floor holds just the reception desk and then you take the elevator to the second floor, which is where their restaurant and lounge/bar area is, as well as the concierge. The employee that checked me in was very friendly and efficient. We stayed here for one night prior to leaving on a cruise so that we would be close to the Neil Simon Theater, where we were seeing MJ The Musical (cannot recommend this play enough!!). This is a lovely hotel right in the heart of the theater district.
